Drunk Dogs Menance Vets
A Quarter of vets encounter drunk pets, according to a survey by Halifax Pet Insurance. 87% of vets said they had seen an increase in the number of cats and dogs needing treatment after being given food intended for human consumption, with chocolate and sugary snacks the biggest culprits. One in four vets said they had had to treat animals who had been given alcohol, which, unsurprisingly, is said to make animals “unpredictable and violent”.
