Frequently asked questions
What is Bdaily?
Bdaily is a digital-first, national business news platform that showcases the organisations and individuals at the heart of economic, political and cultural change.
Led by an experienced reporting team, we craft daily news stories and feature articles alongside expert analysis and informed opinion that goes beyond the headlines to provide deeper meaning and understanding.
Published across our fully responsive website, daily email bulletin and social media channels, our original journalism - which is complemented by commercial partnerships - amplifies companies' voices, celebrates their domestic and global impression, provides a platform for next-generation ideas to flourish and leads conversations that set blueprints for prosperity.
In addition to our daily email bulletin - which is sent directly to subscribers’ inboxes - we feature the latest news and event listings in your chosen region(s), covering content in the North East, London and Yorkshire, as well as national business news. Our subscribers can also upload their own articles using the self-publishing platform.
How can I sign up for the Bdaily daily bulletin?
On the homepage, simply click ‘Sign Up’ and enter your details to receive the daily bulletin for your selected region, as well as the weekly national bulletin.?
How do I access the self-publishing platform?
The self-publishing platform is available to Bdaily subscribers. To register and upload articles, click ‘Advertise’ at the top of the homepage, which will take you through to our Bdaily marketing page. From there, you will be able to download the media pack and select the product that works best for you and your business.
Can I add links to my article?
Yes, you can add up to three advertorial hyperlinks in each self-published article. If you would like to add more than three advertorial hyperlinks in any one article, contact marketing@bdaily.co.uk to discuss adding this to your account.
Can I publish on behalf of a client or colleague?
Yes, you can create multiple organisations for your clients and colleagues under one account. You can do this by logging into your account and navigating the appropriate organisation settings.
Why has my article been removed or edited?
Bdaily retains the right to edit or remove any articles that are uploaded to the site. Our editorial team moderates all articles that have been self-published and will remove any that are considered irrelevant or inappropriate, or which contravene our legal policies.
We will also remove any articles that infringe copyright restrictions, across both words and imagery.
In some instances, we will edit your article to improve formatting or alter the focus to broaden its appeal to our readers and ensure relevance. This is entirely at our discretion.
An editorial style guide will be provided for all users to follow, with recommendations on how to structure articles and guidance on what can be included to widen audience reach and enhance visibility and exposure.
Will my article appear in the bulletin emails?
In the majority of cases, self-published articles will not appear in email bulletins, unless you have selected to upgrade your article to a ‘Featured Article’ (see media pack) to ensure its inclusion.
News content will be moderated daily, and six articles will be chosen by our editorial team to feature in each region’s daily bulletin, as well as a weekly national bulletin. The quality, relevance and interest of each article will largely determine its selection in bulletins. This, again, is at the discretion of the editorial team.
Will my article also be advertised on Bdaily’s LinkedIn page?
Due to the volume of Bdaily articles that are likely to be uploaded every day, only a selection of articles will also be advertised on the Bdaily LinkedIn page. As with the daily email bulletins, the editorial team will choose which articles will appear on LinkedIn, with Featured Articles guaranteed to feature.
How have columnists been chosen?
All columnists have been invited by our editor to self-publish on the Bdaily website. They have been chosen specifically because of their expertise and insight of a particular sector, or because of their regional or national influence. Most importantly, we feel their articles significantly enhance Bdaily’s editorial coverage and are of significant value and interest to our readership.
While we will periodically reach out to people to be one of our guest columnists, we also welcome requests to our editor at steven@bdaily.co.uk if you would like to be a columnist on the site.
