North East Movie Premieres In The Region

A film which started life as a community project with a team of virtually unknown actors will get its North East premiere this week.

Sub Zero is set in a futuristic Middlesbrough and is billed as “a thriller which raises the controversial issue of electronically tagging young people.” The movie grew out of an original arts project which ran in the Grangetown area of the town and stars a number of young people who appear alongside well-known North East performers. Sub Zero – which has been supported by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Northern Film and Media, Business Link, Tees Valley Community Foundation and Hillstreet shopping centre – will be screened at a VIP showing at Cineworld, Middlesbrough this Thursday (February 9).
