Regional sports board meeting open to the public
On the 11th July 2006 the North East Regional Sports Board, which helps Sport England North East set its priorities and objectives, will host its first open meeting to let the public learn about the Board’s agenda and activities. Anybody interested in understanding the work of the Regional Sports Board is invited to attend from 4.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. at Durham County Hall. There will be the opportunity to direct questions to the Board Members and to meet with the North East team of Sport England. The Regional Sports Board has been in operation for just over two years and the minutes of all meetings are located on the Regional Website in the “In Your Region” section (www.sportengland.org). This is an ideal opportunity to see first hand how the Board operates and the contributions they make to the region. For any questions you would like to raise with the board please alert Janet Burns when you register at janet.burns@sportengland.org or by telephoning the general office on 0191 3849595 to ensure they are dealt with on the day.
