Incubation discount for science start-ups

The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) is offering a discount of up to £2,500 for new businesses looking for office space.

IC director of operations David Howell explains: “As the founding partner of Sunderland Science Park, the BIC is committed to supporting science and technology entrepreneurs in the region. “The BIC is home to 160 businesses of all sizes, and our complex includes a range of cutting edge science labs which provide an ideal base for new businesses to grow and prosper.”

“The discount is specifically targeted at business start up companies in a science related sector who can demonstrate a passion for enterprise and innovation. All science sectors will be considered including: healthcare technology, medical services, diagnostics and research & development.”

To apply for the discount simply forward a copy of your business plan to David Howell at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), Wearfield, Enterprise Park East, Sunderland, SR5 2TA or email to david.howell@ne-bic.co.uk. Please note: companies applying must have been trading for less than six months; the discount is approximate figure and is subject to change; and all applications must be submitted before 30th November 2006.
