New flights to Warsaw from Tees Valley
A new service between Warsaw, capital of Poland and Durham Tees Valley has been launched. The service, from Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, will start from 28 July 2007. The flights will operate three times a week.
Tom Warburton, Head of Regeneration at One North East said: “We are pleased to have been able to support Durham Tees Valley airport in securing the new route to Warsaw through the route development programme. “The £4m fund was set up to help the region’s airports attract new scheduled air routes to the North East with the aim of improving the regions accessibility to international business routes and to encourage inbound tourism. “The number of new airlines looking to establish routes to Durham Tees Valley airport shows the region remains a very attractive place to do business or visit.”
Flights are on sale from GBP 23.99 (including taxes and charges) on www.wizzair.com or through the Wizz Air call centre on +48 22 351 94 99.
