Free broadband for Newcastle SMEs

Small businesses in Newcastle upon Tyne can access free broadband for six months with a new city-wide project.

The Network Newcastle project, providing the service, is also offering free expert and independent advice on the most suitable broadband packages available for businesses. The project is managed by the North East Regional Portal (TNERP) on behalf on Newcastle City Council, and is expected to run until the end of March 2007.

Network Newcastle project Manager Maria Humphreys said: “The benefits of broadband must not be underestimated. From trading online to communicating and accessing information, the high speed of broadband can help businesses save both time and money. The Network Newcastle project aims to help businesses in Newcastle get connected to broadband simply and painlessly.”

Businesses can access more information at www.networknewcastle.co.uk or contact the project team on 0191 487 2002 or info@n-e-life.co.uk.
