The majority of UK workers are always on the look out for the next opportunity, despite claiming to be motivated and content in their current positions.
Research from Recruitment specialists Adecco suggests that the UK is a nation of ‘job flirts’. Although 82% of UK workers believe they will be in the same job in 12 months’ time, 40% have applied for a job or registered with a recruitment agency while in their current position.
Managing Director of Adecco, Steven Kirkpatrick, said: “We are seeing a high number of UK workers taking an ‘always on the look out’ approach to job hunting. “The internet has created a new generation of ‘career traders’.
