Business centre's double success

One of the region’s business centres is celebrating after two of its tenants scooped high profile business awards recently. Precision Fitness and Training in Childcare join the list of Quadrus Centre tenants who have received awards since the centre opened in May 2005. Paul Mort from Precision Fitness was named ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the North East Press Portfolio Awards for the second year running, and childcare specialists ‘Training in Childcare’ (TIC) won the ‘Culture for Success Award’ at this year’s Service Network Annual Conference.

Paul said: “I never expected to win this year after winning last year. “Last year’s award gave my business a real boost and this comes at just the right time as I am planning to expand into Durham in time for Christmas.”

TIC Managing Director, Angela Brown was overjoyed at winning the award. “I simply couldn’t believe it when our name was announced. “We have had an unbelievable year since moving to The Quadrus Centre and this really is the cherry on the cake. “We are about to enter new international markets and this award could not have come at a better time for our dedicated team!”

Deborah Evans, Quadrus Manager, said: “The Quadrus Centre is now over 80% full with ambitious, high growth, service sector businesses and I am thrilled that two South Tyneside based organisations have been recognised by some of the most respected awards in the region.”
