Sporting success for Local Heroes
Simon Bailes Peugeot has been recognised for its work in the local community after receiving a Local Heroes Award. The company scooped the One North East Award for Business in Sport at a regional awards ceremony held at Hardwick Hall in County Durham.
Judges at the Local Heroes Awards commended the company for its commitment to grassroots sport and for its continued support of projects including a Teesside acro-gymnastics group, a schools’ football challenge cup played for by schools in the Tees Valley and sponsorship of Romanby Golf Club Juniors.
Simon Bailes said: “Our work in the local community is one of our most important company values. Sport is hugely beneficial for young people and we thoroughly enjoy being in a position to support and work in partnership with a number of local teams and groups all over the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire. “Everyone at Simon Bailes Peugeot was very proud to be recognised in this way and we look forward to working with a variety of grassroots sports clubs in the coming year.”
