Get the most out of a Gap Year
Young people are not frightened of the prospect of going abroad to take part in a gap year but very few currently take advantage of international education and work experience opportunities, although these options offer greater support and peace of mind for parents, as well as recognisable qualifications. The main reason for the low levels of participation in such opportunities is primarily the result of a lack of available information.
A* Future’s aim is to raise the awareness levels about these exciting and career-enhancing opportunities. Since September 2006, A* Future has visited over 50 schools throughout the country, speaking directly to over 4,500 students aged 14 to 18 and has received an overwhelmingly positive response. On Thursday 18th January A* Future will host a presentation designed to ensure that parents are also well informed about international education. This presentation is suitable for anyone who has children seeking an alternative to UK higher education both now and in the near future.
Studying abroad can be a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel and learn at the same time. With the introduction in top-up fees of £3,000 for students at English universities, the financial realities of higher education have changed for many students and their parents. In some cases, it is even possible to save money by studying abroad. A* Future shows you how and explains just some of the many opportunities available.
The presentation takes place at Gateshead International Business Centre on Thursday 18th January at 6:30pm and is free of charge. To reserve your place please call 0191 490 9400 or email: info@astarfuture.co.uk.
