Chance for local organisations to shine
The National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange, are calling for entries to this year’s competition. The awards are open to organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector, whether public or private. Companies from the North East are now being invited to take part in 2007’s regional programme and make their submissions before entries close on Thursday 22nd March.
Made up of ten categories, short listed finalists will be announced in early April before preparing to make their presentations in person before an independent judging panel in May. Winners will be unveiled at the awards evening on Tuesday 10th July 2007. Regional winners will then have the chance to go on and compete against other organisations from the rest of the country in The National Business Awards, which will be announced in November.
Neil Laidler, Vice President Business Services, Orange UK, said: “Entrepreneurship, innovation and determination to succeed are the central characteristics of every thriving business. People want to be inspired to learn from the success of others and The National Business Awards continue to provide an excellent benchmark of this business success. Supporting business excellence is something Orange is very passionate about. Our continued involvement with the National Business Awards provides the opportunity to engage with the UK’s leading organisations and celebrate their achievements.”
