Job hunting gets Passionate support

A local entrepreneur has declared his loyalty to the North East by adopting the ‘Passionate’ brand for his new organisation. jobtimise.co.uk is dedicated to profiling jobs in the North East of England, and is now supporting the campaign to promote business and tourism in the region.

Sunderland-born Kristin Atkinson set up his jobs website last year. Within a month of going live, the site channelled 16,221 job searches and forwarded 455 job applications. Now he has signalled his commitment to the region by using the ‘Passionate about North East jobs’ brand created by regional development agency One NorthEast.

Kristin said: “The desirability of North East England as a place to live and work is drawing businesses and jobseekers from across the UK and internationally, in particular it is garnering a reputation as a ‘creative hotspot’ and attracting an unprecedented number of creative graduates. “The need for a dedicated regional jobs website has never been more pertinent, and by combining innovative technology, the speed of the internet and friendly customer service, we hope to set an entirely new precedent in the region.”

Stacey Hall, Director of Communications at One NorthEast, said: “Having the support of ‘Passionate ambassadors’ for the region, such as Kristin, is invaluable in our campaign to raise the region’s profile. “We are urging companies and organisations the length and breadth of the region to think about how they can help drive national and international awareness, and like Kristin, express their passion and dedication for the region.”
