North Easterners make best neighbours

As many as 95 per cent of householders in the North East said they had quite good or very good relations with their neighbours, according to a survey by the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA).

The survey reveals that across the UK as whole 89 per cent of householders believe they have a good relationship with their neighbours, with 39 per cent going as far as saying they had a very good relationship. Only five per cent said the relationship with their neighbours was not good, with six per cent admitting they did not know their neighbours at all.

London, considered by many as a traditionally unfriendly area due to the high level of changing households, also had a high level of neighbourly friendliness, with 83 per cent of the capital’s residents reporting a good relationship with the households around them.
