Creatives urged to join DigitalCity
The North East’s creative companies are being offered the opportunity to take advantage of a mentoring project designed to help take their businesses to the next level. DigitalCity Innovation’s new project is open to anyone running a company in the creative industries, whether a new start-up or an established presence.
Initially the project will be delivered in the form of networking events and workshops. However, much of the advice and support on offer will be one-to-one and based solely on the individual requirements of each company that is selected. A team of industry experts will be on hand to offer all kinds of advice and support from their years in the business.
DigitalCity wants to work closely with the talent in the North East to ensure that the region becomes a world renowned centre for innovation and excellence in the creative industries. Interest is invited from right across the board, including (but not limited to): animators, graphic designers, artists, musicians/songwriters and photographers. The programme is flexible – in terms of how and when it will be delivered – to ensure that the people involved are able to sustain their business with the minimum of distraction.
Places for the programme are strictly limited and DigitalCity would like to know what the creative companies involved want and expect from the project. They will then create a programme of events and mentoring sessions which will impact on business practices, output, sales and turnover.
Any creative businesses that would like to get involved in the programme should contact Judith Wilkinson at the DigitalCity on 01642 384 330 or email: jude@thedigitalcity.org.
