?Aint no mountain high enough? for NE businessman

Hot on the heels of the launch of his new business in the North East, one of the UK’s leading adventure photographers has again been approached by a national charity to document the adventures of a group of fundraisers climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in June. Award-winning photographer David Glen Walker recently launched Picture Farm, a multimedia production company in Durham City, and David’s services have now been requested by cerebral palsy charity SCOPE to document a gruelling expedition.

Around thirty fundraisers will climb the 15,000 feet mountain in Tanzania, which is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. Throughout the trek David will record the adventure using photography and podcasting. The podcasts will be available to download from the SCOPE website.

David said: “Being asked to take part in another expedition such as this is very exciting for the team at Picture Farm, if a little daunting. Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro – the roof of Africa – will be completely different to my encounters in the Arctic and in China and I have already started a new training regime. We will be without power for the entire time on the mountain so I have to carry a much heavier kit to get the job done. “As a company Picture Farm specialises in using the latest multimedia technology to help promote a range of organisations. On this occasion we will be using both photography and podcasts to document the adventures of the fundraisers and help raise awareness of the SCOPE charity. “
