Hotel to offer toothbrushes to taxi drivers
Taxi drivers dropping off passengers at a North East hotel are now being offered a free toothbrush, breakfast and the chance for a luxury overnight stay. As part of the hotel’s plans to ensure word gets out about its recent renovation it is running a prize incentive for the region’s cab drivers.
Any taxi driver who arrives at the hotel in the next four weeks will be given a free breakfast and a numbered toothbrush, which will be entered into a draw for a break at the hotel. They will have to agree to a tour of the hotel and a quick update on the facilities, in the hope that they will then go on to talk to passengers about Redworth.
Paul Mandeir, the hotel’s general manager, said: “We know that taxi drivers talk to their passengers and we want them to be giving out the right information about what is happening at Redworth Hall and what we can offer here. “So this seemed to be a great way of doing it. We can show them what the hotel has to offer and they can also be in with a chance to enjoy Redworth themselves.”
The offer is restricted to one entry per taxi driver and runs until the middle of April. Taxi drivers who aren’t bringing a fare to the hotel are still eligible to turn up, take advantage of the free breakfast and take part in the competition.
