Star struck at awards success

Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) was left star struck after achieving 28th place on the middle to large businesses, ‘Best Companies to Work for in the UK’ list 2007. The specialist in community regeneration which operates in the North East, West Midlands, Yorkshire and East Midlands was nominated for the national awards which is published in The Sunday Times. Following employee and company surveys and a judges’ visit, FHM was awarded two-star status for its outstanding performance, commitment, and dedication to its staff and business.

Best Companies Accreditation has been established to acknowledge corporate excellence in the workplace and complements the annual publication of the Best Companies to Work for list. Companies are scored on their ability and commitment to workforce engagement and the effect it has on the organisation’s growth and success.

A Best Companies Index (BCI) score is awarded to each organisation that completes the accreditation process, with the scores derived from the companies’ and employees’ responses to the workforce engagement surveys. The BCI determines whether an organisation has achieved ‘Star Status’. Companies are awarded one of three titles – One Star which is acknowledged as elite, Two Star status which represents outstanding and Three Star which is deemed extraordinary.
