Art and culture event paints a picture of success

If you have an artistic flair then Business Link Tyne and Wear is drawing up an event that could help you master the art of success. If you are interested or already involved in arts and culture, the free one day event on Friday 23 March in Newcastle gives you the chance to explore whether your creative talents are designed for money-making success and mingle with some of the region’s most reputable artists and designers. The aim of the ‘Arts Culture and Enterprise event’ is for aspiring entrepreneurs to test out their designs for an enterprising future, take part in interactive workshops and talk to several inspirational role models.

Sarah Blood, of Sarah Blood Glass, is one of the event’s guest speakers. Sarah is an award winning glass artist who will talk about her range of work including commissions, exhibitions and collections. She will talk about how she balances the demands of running her business with producing inspiring works of art.

Salome McVeigh, enterprise project manager at Business Link Tyne and Wear said: “This fun, workshop-based event is designed for people who are debating with the idea of starting a business in arts and culture. Here people can get inspiration and advice in a lively and supportive atmosphere, and meet others who have made their enterprising ideas happen.”

Spaces are limited at the events, and childcare is available if required. Book your free place today by contacting Alison: 0845 245 0212 or emailing alison@peopleintoenterprise.com or visit www.iwant2doit.co.uk for further information.
