Help for budding Bransons

A new programme launched last week intends to help new businesses get off to a good start by linking them with those who have been through the start-up journey themselves. Network into Enterprise is a project supported by the regional development agency, One NorthEast, that will provide the next generation of Richard Bransons with the ability to make a business idea become a profitable reality.

Through a series of workshops and networking events, Network into Enterprise will build up the entrepreneur’s business skills, confidence and provide them with fast-track access to potential customers, suppliers and business associates. Entrepreneurs will be appointed a mentor from an established business, giving the new venture advice through their first 6 months.

Graeme Mills, joint manager of the programme, said: “The programme is a brilliant idea, who better to advise budding entrepreneurs than the very people who have been there and bought the t-shirt. I can’t stress enough the importance of business networking. It has taking me years to establish my business networks. Network into Enterprise can deliver this right from the start for these new enterprises.”

The pilot programme, funded by ONE North East, is managed by Les Hodgson of Next Level Financial Management and Graeme Mills of GPM Network. Budding entrepreneurs are invited to attend a ‘Getting Started’ Event at the Falcons Rugby Club on 15th March at 5pm.
