Press Ahead goes walking with Berghaus

PR and marketing specialist Press Ahead has been awarded the contract to handle public relations activity for Berghaus, one of the UK’s leading outdoor brands. The appointment coincides with the arrival of former One NorthEast Head of PR Chris Lines as a director at the rapidly growing North East England based agency.

Press Ahead will be handling corporate and product public relations for Berghaus. Working with in house PR, the agency will also raise the profile of sponsored athletes such as climbers Sir Chris Bonington and Leo Houlding, mountain biker Rob Jarman and base jumper Anniken Binz.

Chris Lines said: “I joined Press Ahead to help it continue its strategy of strong, sustained growth. The Berghaus contract is a significant addition to our portfolio and represents an opportunity to deliver proactive and highly effective public relations support to a brand that has both great heritage and ambitious plans for the future.”
