Sleuth cracks mystery to win prize egg
The hazards involved in cracking a major mystery didn’t hold any problems for one County Durham woman. Christina Wardell’s perseverance and determination led to her win a unique piece of jewellery in a treasure hunt at a local hotel.
Paramount Redworth Hall Hotel offered Easter Sunday guests the opportunity to solve the clues which led to a hidden miniature Faberge egg worth more than £700. Christina Wardell is the office manager for an asbestos removal company and says she is used to having to negotiate major problems on a daily basis, so a bit of clue solving didn’t seem to cause any real difficulties for the Willington woman.
Christina said: “It was a really hard treasure hunt and I did almost give up at one point. But I’m glad that I didn’t because it’s absolutely beautiful. “We don’t really have any of our family over here so that’s why we went for lunch at Easter. It was definitely worth it!”
