Things are cooking up at White Hot
Newcastle based PR and marketing company White Hot Communications was celebrating last week having won a contract for international restaurant chain YO! Sushi which is making a march northwards. Newcastle upon Tyne is the farthest north the Japanese inspired restaurant chain has ventured to date, and its conveyor belt restaurant will be launched in Fenwick in early June.
White Hot Communications, managed by business partners Nicky Harrison and Lyn Spencer, recently celebrated its 5th year in business and has built a wide-ranging portfolio of clients, most recently attracting YO! Sushi following White Hot’s PR campaigns promoting the similar northward movement of Italian restaurant chain STRADA, overlooking Old Eldon Square in Newcastle and on Lower Petergate in York.
Lyn Spencer, Managing Partner, said: “The development of Newcastle City Centre and Eldon Square is attracting a lot of interest from restaurants who realise how Newcastle is an essential destination to pitch, having recently been named as one of the top cities to dine in outside London, and also the best city in the North to live. Both YO! Sushi and Strada were attracted to White Hot because of our no-nonsense hands-on approach, proven track record and excellent media contacts. Geographically we are also perfectly placed to develop the Northern end of clients’ expansion plans.”
Georgia Hall, Head of Marketing at YO! Sushi, said: “We have chosen White Hot to launch YO! Sushi Fenwick Newcastle because of their retail experience and great campaign ideas. Newcastle is very exciting for us, especially as I am a Geordie, and we are looking forward to offering little fishy dishes from June!’
