Two entrepreneurs making people feel safe

Two former North East policemen have joined forces to set up a new close protection service giving people extra security at home and at work. Retired Northumbria police officers Andy Redhead and Peter Thompson are pooling their expertise, training and experience to set up a new close protection service for people at risk of industrial espionage, kidnap and theft.

Sec-Tech Specialised Security Solutions has been founded in the North East and is licensed by the Security Industry Authority to carry out a range of protection services from threat and risk assessment, security reviews, venue protection, close protection, asset movement and security chauffeurs. As well as providing security for individuals, Sec-Tech offer precautions against the threat of industrial espionage.

Andy, a former national police firearms tactical advisor and rapid intervention and hostage rescue officer, said: “High tech gadgets can help rival companies look at a computer screen from a quarter of a mile away through a closed blind or listen to conversations behind closed doors. “It may sound far-fetched but this isn’t a James Bond film – the risk is very real, and it must be taken seriously. We can help companies check out their security and find out if they are under surveillance. Knowledge is a powerful thing – and security is vital.”

Sec-Tech recruit their staff from police, military or British Intelligence backgrounds. Former clients include members of the Royal Family and high profile cabinet ministers.

Sec-Tech can be contacted on 0845 002 0696 or at www.sectech-uk.com.
