Entry open for Deloitte Fast 50 awards
Entry has now opened for the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Awards 2007. Last year Creating Careers Ltd, an innovative e-learning business based in Morpeth, made it to number 41 in the list after recording significant growth in turnover of over 700% between 2001 and 2005.
Companies offering mobile technologies such as SMS did particularly well in the 2006 awards, and many business service markets, such as HR, climbed high last year showing an increased use of technology outside of just a standalone product. The Deloitte Fast 50 awards, now in their 10th year, are open to any technology company with accounts over five years demonstrating consecutive growth.
Mark Fitzgerald, Managing Director of MX Telecom, overall Fast 50 award winner in 2006, said: “The award has certainly added to our company image. Anyone who has dealings with us can see further evidence of the success we have had. Furthermore, as the award focuses entirely on actual financial performance, it is very objective and a real indication of success.”
David Wilkinson, TMT Lead Partner for Deloitte’s Newcastle office said: “This initiative pitches cutting edge firms from right across the UK, including businesses that already have well-established national and international profiles. Creating Careers’ achievement of entering the top 50 last year indicates that our region is growing its strengths in the technology industries, and should act as a example for this year’s entrants.”
