Joint venture triggers UK-wide push from North East
A Teesside-based office furniture supplier has launched a joint venture with one of the North East’s best-known bespoke joinery companies. Brava Lifestyle Offices’s deal with Distinct Joinery and Interiors, of Billingham, signals a push by Brava into new geographical markets using the internet. Brava, which already has an office in London, has just completed a move into new headquarters at the Westminster Business Centre, Wynyard Park, near Billingham.
Eric Lloyd, managing director of Brava, said: “Our furniture is designed for the modern way of working and, in reality, the modern way of working for us proved not to be a traditional showroom, but a superb website and a design and consultancy service done on a very personal level in the customer’s work environment.”
The company supplies all sizes of companies, but takes particular pride in two long-standing blue-chip customers – Lloyds TSB and Network Rail. Distinct Joinery, which employs 30 people, already attracts many customers across numerous locations across the UK, including London and more recently Guernsey.
Director Peter Marwood said: “Brava and Distinct Joinery are two companies which serve a similar customer base and complement each other very well. The joint venture is a great opportunity – we gain Brava’s sales expertise and Brava gains our bespoke manufacturing capabilities.”
