Gordon Ramsay joins search for UK's top entrepreneurs
Top chef and successful businessman, Gordon Ramsay, is searching for the UK’s most inspirational entrepreneurs. Gordon is joining the judging panel for the BT Business ‘Essence of the Entrepreneur’ competition. The campaign celebrates the achievements of small businesses that have demonstrated dedication and have found new directions to succeed in business with the help of technology.
The closing date for entries is Friday 20 July, and to qualify businesses must be privately owned, employ fewer than 75 people and demonstrate that technology has played an essential part in the success of their business.
Gordon, who has already worked with small businesses through his hit show Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, said: “When starting your own business you have to focus on what you do best, and I will be looking for entrepreneurs who have shown real dedication to make their business a success. I am excited about seeing the variety of small businesses out there and finding the real success stories.”
The judges will select 20 winners and will also be looking for the best female entrepreneur, best male entrepreneur, the young entrepreneur of the year and the most original business concept.
Bill Murphy, managing director, BT Business, said: “SMEs are the lifeblood of the UK economy. We want to applaud their determination to succeed, celebrate the power of the idea, and capture the essence of their entrepreneurial spirit.”
