Tickets for Merchant of Venice
What better way to enjoy a glorious midsummer evening than watching Shakespeare in the stately grounds of Slaley Hall?
National theatre company Heartbreak productions is bringing a little piece of Italy to Northumberland with an open air performance of The Merchant of Venice on Sunday 12 August. So pack your Italian themed gourmet picnic, grab a deck chair and sit back in the great outdoors for an outstanding theatrical performance in one of the North East’s most beautiful locations.
Heartbreak Productions has been touring successfully for 15 years, and the productions at De Vere Slaley Hall are part of their annual summer tour at picturesque locations all over the UK. They will be performing the captivating Shakespearian classic on the hotel lawn, adjacent to the famous championship Hunting golf course.
Food and drink is available on site, and car parking is free. The performance will start at 6.30pm. Admission is £12.50 for adults, free to children accompanying a paying adult and £10 for concessions. To order your ticket please call 01434 673350, or book online at www.ticketweb.co.uk.

The competition will close at 3pm tomorrow, Thursday 2 August. The winner will chosen at random from the correct answers submitted by that time, and notified by email. The winner will be issued with a letter in order to claim their prize from the hotel reception on the evening of Sunday 12 August.
The prize is only valid for Sunday 12 August 2007. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The editor’s decision is final.
