Rapid growth for recruitment specialists
A Sunderland-based recruitment agency is ready to expand after a first year in business which saw them turnover more than £1 million. Ntrust, based at the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), are set to take on 5 new members of staff after beginning the enterprise in April 2007.
Martin Warding, originally from Manchester, had spent 10 years working as a recruitment manager. Amongst his clients was Anthony Hudson, a manager for a sports-fashion retail company. Having developed a sound professional relationship, the pair eventually decided to join forces and begin their own compnay.
Martin Warding, Ntrust Director, said: “From the offset, our ethos was to be focused on our clients, and to make sure that we provided what they wanted. This was something that we knew to be lacking in the services of other recruitment agencies, and we believed we could do alongside the first-rate provisions for our staff.
“The recruitment landscape is changing all of the time, and for us the essence is in the individual needs of our clients. We provide hundreds of staff for multi-national companies, but conversely we have also provided merely a few members of custom-trained staff for small companies on site here at the BIC.”
Having received business support from BIC advisers since starting the company, Martin and Anthony are now looking towards moving to a bigger unit on-site to meet the company’s growing requirements.
Louise Hardy, Tenant Adviser at the BIC, said: “Ntrust is a great example of how good business sense and sheer determination can be combined to achieve astounding results in a comparatively short space of time. The BIC wish Anthony and Martin the best of luck with the business and we look forward to continuing to support them as they enter this exciting new phase.”
