New business support team offers recruitment solutions

A new project is aiming to hep disadvantaged people in the region find training opportunities and jobs over the next three years.

Working Links, one of the Government’s Welfare to Work providers, has won an £8 million European Social Funded contract to help unemployed people in South Tyneside, County Durham and Wear Valley with support such as mentoring, training and job search activities.

To boost the initiative Working Links has recruited its own specialist employer team which will offer businesses a no cost recruitment option.

Unlike employment agencies, Working Links offers a fee-free service and aims to select candidates whose skills, attitudes and experiences match the vacancy.
