TVU launch business health survey

Tees Valley Unlimited is calling on private sector businesses in the area to take part in a survey to help determine the health of the local economy.

The online survey hopes to collate the views, ideas and ambitions of firms in the area, and the Local Enterprise Partnership hopes that business of all sizes and from all sectors will take part.

“The economy of the Tees Valley is changing, and our business community has had to adapt,” explained Stephen Catchpole TVU’s Managing Director.

“We want to know how businesses are diversifying, evolving or indeed needing support so we can prioritise our actions and look to create the right opportunities for growth.”

It is difficult economic times for many businesses in the area regardless of size. Stephen hopes that by identifying pressures on businesses, Tees Valley Unlimited will be able to offer targeted and effective help to them.

Stephen continued: “We are keen to identify access to support; facilitate supply chain growth and assist with an introduction to new markets.

“The underlying objective of this
survey is to serve not the LEP but the business community and I would encourage everyone to take part.”

Data received during the project will help to inform future Tees Valley Unlimited and local authority partners of the best ways to aid the business community. In addition, the findings will also be passed on to Central Government and key decision makers.

Participants will also be given access to the final report.
