UNW accountants secure international partnership

A partnership between North East accountancy firm UNW and BKR International is hoped to open up a new client base across the world.

BKR is one of the top 10 global accounting organisations, and UNW, which is headquartered at Newcastle’s Citygate, will benefit from international contacts and resources through the affiliation.

UNW has enjoyed substantial growth over the last three years, and the firm specialises in audits and assurance, corporate finance, taxation services and accounting.

UNW partner, Michael Morris, was a key figure in securing the relationship with BKR International.

He said: “A significant amount of time has been invested in researching the leading global associations and BKR International is the perfect fit for us.

“We expect our affiliation with BKR to open up a new chapter in our growth as well as providing a robust platform from which our clients can grow their business interests.”

The company particularly hopes to gain inbound referral work from BKR for its experts in VAT, employment tax and corporate finance grants teams.

Managing partner, Andrew WIlson, at UNW added: “In the past, we have regularly helped clients realise international opportunities, so joining an international association was an obvious route for us to take.

“Investing in further growth from our NE base whilst having full access to a comprehensive international network will deliver real benefits to our clients.”

BKR International’s executive director for the Middle East, Africa and Europe, Stephen Hamlet, welcomed the partnership with UNW.
