Cheshire property consultancy assists in £9m new build housing schemes
A North West property consultancy is assisting Gedling Homes to identify and deliver a series of new build housing schemes with a value of more than £9 million.
Gedling, a community housing provider in the East Midlands, has tasked Millson Associates, of Hyde, Cheshire with project managing a number of its re-developments over the next two years as part of an aggressive new build housing and renovation programme.
Millson’s commitments will start with a number of exciting projects, including overseeing the redevelopment of the St Andrews House housing scheme in the East Midlands town of Mapperley.
Millson Associates Ryan Brookes said: “We have some great longstanding relationships with prominent housebuilders and registered providers, so we are delighted to add to that with this appointment.
“Gedling Homes have firm plans for the coming years and I’m naturally excited about our role in being involved with them; the team has an outstanding level of expertise to deliver this and go above and beyond our client’s expectations.”
The news comes after Millson Associates completed another project for Gedling just last month; the £1.5 million redevelopment of Moyra House in Arnold. Other residential projects completed by the Hyde-based firm include developments for Seddon Homes and Bardsley and New Charter Housing Trust.
Millson director Joe Millson added: “We are renowned for our work in two distinct areas; residential and leisure and are delighted to have worked with so many fantastic businesses in those sectors. They are areas we continue to grow within.
“We are different because of our holistic approach; we advise clients through design, development and project delivery meaning we are best placed to identify challenges and solutions across a range of schemes.”
It has been an exciting month for Millson; the company recently announced its rebrand which saw it change its name from Philip Millson Associates – its moniker for the past 20 years. It also announced that it has opened a London office, headed up by associate director Clare Wood, to manage its expanding client base in the capital.
Concluded Joe: “Since Philip Millson founded this business in 1980 it has gone from strength to strength. We now have 23 members of staff and a strong client portfolio; some customers have been with us for the entire 30 plus years we’ve operated.
“We decided that those solid foundations could be built on to grow the business and we are excited about the plans and strategy we have in place for the next five-years which will see us grow our team and turnover substantially.”
