PR firm clinches Japanese hydraulics contract
North West PR firm Polaris Media has strengthened its engineering division after being appointed by its first Japanese client, hydraulics manufacturer Yuken Europe.
Polaris, which has offices in Liverpool, Cheshire and Manchester, is run by brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington.
Sam Pinnington said the company was absolutely delighted to be appointed by the Liverpool based operation which manages Yuken’s activity across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
“Yuken is a highly impressive global engineering company,” he said. “It is very well established and has a formidable track record in the hydraulics industry. It has a stack of news to promote and we cannot want to get cracking on the campaign.
“Publicity is so important for a big company like Yuken. A strong PR campaign can inform its audiences about the breath of products it offers and precisely what their benefits are. This is about growing awareness and growing profile positively.
“Yuken will be benefiting from a range of Polaris services including publicity campaigns covering national, international and regional press. We will also be helping the company with general marketing covering branding, website, social media, photography, trade fairs and marketing literature.”
Yuken Europe managing director Mannie Saunders said the company wants to grow understanding of its work.
“We want a higher profile,” he said. “We have a dedicated team here doing lots of great things. However, we need to promote our products and successes to a wider audience. If you buy Yuken, you buy a Rolls Royce quality product which is built to last and built to maximise efficiency. This ultimately saves our customers time and money. We very much look forward spreading our message and using the media as platform to grow our business.”
Polaris co-director Ben Pinnington said after growing by a third over the past year, Polaris is focusing on four key areas for growth in 2013/14 – manufacturing, engineering, maritime and exports.
“Yuken operates in all these sectors so we feel it is a very good fit for our skill set and our growth strategy for Polaris,” he said. “Over the last seven years we have worked very hard to develop our skills in the engineering sector.
“This covers sectors such as maritime and offshore, renewables, oil and gas, and power generation. We know the media in these sectors well and we know how to drive long running high profile publicity campaigns.
“And critically we have developed a passion for engineering. This passion ensures our campaigns are vibrant and we remain totally committed to providing the best possible customer service. Engineering is the future for Polaris and we are thrilled to be working with a company of Yuken’s calibre.”
