International manufacturer gets 'Made in Sheffield' seal of approval
President Engineering Group Ltd is celebrating being approved by ‘Made in Sheffield’
The Sheffield-based company, which was formed after a management buyout in 2010 involving the acquisition of cryogenic valve specialist Bestobell Valves and international mining safety equipment manufacturer Conflow, exports around 86 % of its locally produced products.
All Bestobell and Conflow products are manufactured in Sheffield.
Mark Henley, Managing Director of President Engineering Group, said: “Made in Sheffield is recognised globally as a sign of quality and it is great to be approved to use the symbol.”
“This is a very exciting time for our business as we are seeing consistent growth in markets such as South Korea, China and Scandinavia and through use of the Made in Sheffield mark we hope to be able to further develop business opportunities across the globe.”
Charles Turner, Chairman of Made in Sheffield, said: “It makes perfect sense that President Engineering Group should be able to display the Made in Sheffield mark. The mark is just as relevant today as it has ever been, helping companies to demonstrate their expertise and the quality of their products and services, across the world.”
Made in Sheffield is a prestigious brand famous internationally as a mark of origin and quality on the city’s manufactured products.
The organisation has over 200 member companies across the city, which range from manufacturers to service providers who all share a common theme of producing high quality goods and services in Sheffield.
In the past three years, PEGL has experienced unprecedented growth, increasing its turnover by almost 40% and international sales by 37%, as well as growing its workforce from 86 to 115.
