Yorkshire manufacturers encouraged to make links with India

Manufacturing businesses in Yorkshire are being invited to attend an event next week organised by the Leeds office of national law firm, Irwin Mitchell to encourage expansion to India.

Irwin Mitchell is running the event on Tuesday 19 November in conjunction with the Yorkshire Asian Business Association and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The CII is currently bringing a trade mission to the region and as part of the trip has brought with it 20 businesses based inIndia which are interested in developing stronger trade links with companies across Yorkshire.

Businesses which have existing partnerships with companies based in India, as well as those that are looking for a foothold there, are able to attend the event for free and meet with business leaders on a one-to-one basis.

Sandip Khroud, an associate within the Corporate team within Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office and director of the Yorkshire Asian Business Association, said: “We are pleased to be hosting the CII and delighted that we are able to share this opportunity with local companies.”

“India provides a host of opportunities for companies in Yorkshire and we anticipate that this event will be extremely valuable for those wishing to attend.”

Founded over 118 years ago, the CII has over 7100 members and is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed business association. Members operate in the public and private sectors and range from SMEs to multinational corporations.
