Manchester PR’s land brief to get Britons nutty for peanut butter drink
Manchester-based Smoking Gun PR have landed the contract to promote a new peanut butter flavoured hot drink to Britons.
Smoking Gun PR’s award winning Food PR specialist team has worked with a number of clients in this sector including cheese, sports drinks and confectionery.
The brief will see Smoking Gun pour over the low calorie peanut butter winter warmer, made from roasted and powdered peanuts, which is available now exclusively at 350 Sainsbury’s stores.
The launch plan encompasses a mixture of national media relations, social media community management, influencer outreach and a targeted sampling programme.
Lisa Gawthorne, managing director of Bravura Foods the company behind Peanut Hottie commented: “We needed a PR agency to bring our new and unique product to the table, with a proven track record of delivering fast results for national brands. We’ve innovated a stagnant hot drinks category and wanted a PR partner to match. Smoking Gun showed that they understood our brand with a knowledgable, dedicated and creative team determined to get the results we need.”
Rick Guttridge, managing director of Smoking Gun PR added: “We have a huge passion for Food PR. Our team particularly relishes a new product launch to get our teeth into and Peanut Hottie fits that bill. The distinct peanut butter flavoured hot drink offers an interesting hot alternative to the humdrum tea or coffee.
We are eager to wet the nation’s whistle with this ambrosial sip which is made from real peanuts and tap into a huge and very vocal community of peanut butter lovers to drive commercial success.“
