Masterclass in setting up Brazilian operation, on offer to North East businesses
North East businesses are being offered expert advice on establishing themselves in Brazil, as the North East Chamber of Commerce’s Access Brazil is hosting a free workshop in January.
KPMG, HSBC and RTC North will provide expert insight around opportunities the country offers, whilst highlighting areas of consideration when setting up a Joint Venture in Brazil.
Key areas for discussion will include legal frameworks, regulatory issues and taxation regimes – the challenges and pitfalls; how to overcome them and how to maximise the opportunities using the tools and resources available.
This expert insight will be brought to life by Newcastle-based British Engines, which has successfully set up a facility in Brazil to cater for the growing demand for its products in the oil industry.
Their experiences will illustrate how, with the right ‘know-how’, North East businesses can operate smoothly, efficiently and ultimately very successfully within Brazil.
Access Brazil is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is one third of the NECC ‘Access Programme’, which comprises of market visits and encompasses a unique events schedule of interactive seminars and workshops aimed at showcasing the business opportunities available for North East businesses interested in trading with Russia, Brazil and India.
The event will be held at The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle on January 30, between 9.30am and 1pm.
The Access Brazil event is free to attend but spaces are limited. To register please contactgemma.bainbridge@necc.co.uk.
