RE:SYSTEMS wins ‘Best event website’ at Event Technology Awards
A North West mobile and web development expert has won the ‘Best event website / mobile site’ category for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert ballot at the Event Technology Awards 2013.
RE:SYSTEMS’ online service, capable of processing up to 10 million applications for the two-stage ballot, was developed for the BBC in collaboration with Ticketmaster to allocate all free tickets for the concert.
Processing was split across nine servers in a multi-tier architecture, and so was able to quickly scale out depending on peak levels of demand as announcements across key media were made.
The inaugural Event Technology Awards ceremony was held on 15 November at Supernova in London, recognising the crucial role of innovative technologies in delivering and supporting festivals, conferences and concerts across the UK and Europe.
Tim Hutchinson, director at RE:SYSTEMS, who have offices in Manchester and Bakewell, said: “Everyone at RE:SYSTEMS is extremely thrilled to have scooped this award and be acknowledged for our expertise in the industry. We were joined on the night by our clients from Ticketmaster amongst others, who we would like to thank for their continued support and for making it such a great evening.”
