Back of the net - Tangerine scores Kitbag.com deal
Manchester agency Tangerine PR has been signed up by the world’s leading online fanwear retailer, Kitbag.com, to help raise the profile of the brand and increase awareness among its core target audience of 17 – 25 year old sports fans.
Tangerine has been tasked with developing a creative PR strategy; focused around Kitbag.com’s core sport offering, including football, rugby, basketball and running.
A series of creative press office tactics with key influential national, sports and lifestyle media, will run alongside strategic campaign spikes, which includes brand ambassador, Robbie Savage, to increase buzz and talkability around Kitbag.com.
Tangerine will also manage Kitbag.com’s strong social media presence through various channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, by creating engaging and sharable content for its target audience.
Andy Anson, CEO at Kitbag.com, said: “With the World Cup taking place next year, it’s extremely important that Kitbag.com is prepared to play a part in this major celebration and already 2014 looks set to be our most exciting year to date – so it was really important to find an agency who understands our brand, positioning and customer.
“Tangerine offers everything we need from an agency partner – not only on the creative PR and social media side, but also helping us to maximise awareness through our brand ambassador, Robbie Savage.”
Mary Harding, MD of Tangerine’s consumer team, said: “Kitbag.com is an incredibly exciting brand to work with and there’s a real opportunity to continue to grow the overall profile of the business.
“Content is key for this audience – they love to talk about and share their sports fan experiences, so Kitbag.com has a huge opportunity to join in and capitalise on these conversations, by making a real connection with potential customers.”
