Leeds City Council to host start-up workshops for entrepreneurs

A series of free business start-up workshops for budding entrepreneurs are set to be held at libraries across Leeds.

As part of the workshops which will begin at Seacroft Library a range of help and information will be provided to people who are interested in setting up their own business.

This will include support from members of Leeds City Council’s library business team, and speakers from Leeds Chamber of Commerce, Job Centre Plus, The Leeds Credit Union and The Institute of Marketing.

A local firm of accountants will also be joining guest speakers to offer advice at the events, where attendees can find out more and pick the brains of all the experts present.

Councillor Lucinda Yeadon, Leeds City Council’s executive member for leisure and skills said: “Starting up your own business can sometimes be very daunting, and I am delighted therefore that we will be holding a number of events at libraries across the city offering specialist advice and information to budding entrepreneurs.

“With a range of experts also set to be present this really is an opportunity not to be missed and we would advise people to book early as similar events held at our libraries have proved to be extremely popular.”
