Yorkshire appointments this week
Phil Gorski, Media, Music and Entertainment department, Blacks Solicitors
The appointment comes as part of Blacks’ response to the rise of digital technology and the increase in media titlestransitioning online, particularly regional press.
Phil’s specialist skillset will bolster both Blacks’ Commercial Dispute Resolution and MME departments, providing greater media law knowledge and insight.
A former associate in the Litigation department at niche London media law firm Wiggin LLP from 2002 to 2012, Phil joins the team with specialist knowledge in commercial litigation as well as defamation, privacy and intellectual property cases.

Five new solicitors at Langleys
York-based law firm Langleys has five newly qualified solicitors boosting its ranks.
Langleys Solicitors has welcomed Cariad Wells and Belinda Normandale as assistant solicitors in its Insurance Law team. Just qualified within Employment Law is Aleksandra Tusien, while Andrea Prescott has qualified as an assistant solicitor in the Health and Social Care team. Nancy Azina-Nartey, in Residential Conveyancing, completes the line-up.
Langleys has offices in York and Lincoln, employing close to 400 staff. The firm is enjoying record year-on-year growth and is predicting a healthy 10% increase in revenue this current financial year, following 8% growth to the year-end April 2013.

Zack Drummond, Karl Guimerans, Advanced Digital Dynamics, IT supplier
The global IT supplier specialising in computer hardware and data destruction has taken on sales executive Zack Drummond at its Harrogate premises and Karl Guimerans as software sales executive at its offices on the Daresbury Science Park in Cheshire.
The duo brings over two decades of sales expertise to the 24-strong team at ADD whose turnover has rocketed from £300k to £3.4 million in the last six years. Formative achievements in 2013 include clinching a raft of new business wins, securing ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations - and launchinga new technical division.
Zack said: “ADD is growing rapidly and has a great reputation. When you find a company where everyone is excited about the journey, you just want to jump on board!”
Karl added: “I was attracted to ADD’s ambition and vision. As the company’s first software sales executive I’m enjoying the opportunities and challenges of my new role which I’m looking forward to making my own.”
