25-year-old's digital marketing outfit has designs on UK market
Manchester digital marketing outfit Go Social, run by 25-year-old Alex Taylor, says business has grown 300% in the last six months.
Alex has worked with clients such as Mecca Bingo, Bargain Booze and Seneca Banking Consultants and has just won JCI Marketing and PR Professional of the Year.
He established Go Social after promoting student events on social media whilst studing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
In 2013 the firm secured a private equity investment from Lancashire entrepreneur Ian Wright, known for his disruptive business models which include NonExecutiveDirectors.com, and a small group of fellow investors.
Speaking about Go Social’s approach, he said: “Surrounding myself with experienced mentors has been incredible, the benefit of hindsight and connections they have brought has helped me develop the business quickly but with a solid infrastructure in place.
“Too many companies have a social media campaign with no precise ROI agenda…if we cannot track it, we won’t do it. When our clients win, we win.”
The team has recently expanded and moved into prime office space in Spinningfields. The product is constantly being refined to incorporate a resource across all sectors, providing an essential tool to all sizes of business.
The long term vision for the business is to become the biggest social media agency in the UK, and to develop new marketing initiatives to enable clients to achieve a return from Social Media, the world’s most prolific marketing resource.
