Unique Yoga Express classes launch in Manchester city centre
Manchester City Centre is set to see the arrival of a new style of yoga that will provide people with an energetic class in only 45 minutes.
Launching on Monday 13th January, Yoga Express Manchester will hold six classes a week at Manchester’s top performing arts venue, Studio 25. Designed by Yoga Manchester founder Matt Ryan, the sequence will involve over 50 postures to build stamina, strength and flexibility in as little time as possible.
With early morning, lunchtime, and after work sessions, the 45-minute Yoga Express classes will be taught by experienced yoga practitioners and teachers with a collective experience of over 56 years.
With past and present students including Premiership footballers Gary and Phil Neville, and Joleon Lescott, alongside Russell Brand and Mani from the Stone Roses, Matt has created the sequence to ensure people can fit a regular yoga practice into their busy schedules.
Commenting on the new classes, Yoga Express founder Matt Ryan said: “Yoga Express was borne out of the reality that most people don’t have the time to do a 90 minute yoga practice due to personal and work commitments.
“Based upon the Ashtanga Yoga tradition, Yoga Express invites the student to explore and increase the strength and flexibility within their own bodies through a series of postures and athletic movements. Any student that sticks to a regular 45 minute class will see both physical and mental changes including increased strength, flexibility and improved muscle tone, alongside reduced stress and better concentration.
“Yoga Express will build upon the successful Yoga Manchester brand, which has become trusted and respected among the 1000s of students taught by the school in the last seven years. With the support of the students and teachers, I’m really excited and hopeful that Yoga Express will allow a whole range of people to experience the transformative benefits of yoga.”
Previously a DJ at the world famous Hacienda in Manchester, Matt has dedicated the last 15 years to the study and practise of yoga with annual visits to India, and has hosted internationally-acclaimed yoga teachers at Yoga Manchester.
