Boardroom insight from Karren Brady at Buy Yorkshire
Karren Brady, advisor to Lord Alan Sugar on hit TV show The Apprentice, will take to the stage at this year’s Buy Yorkshire Conference to provide an insight into her experiences.
As Vice Chairman of West Ham United Football Club, England 2018 Board Member and Non-Executive Director to no fewer than four other businesses, Karren has a wealth of experience across a diverse range of companies.
Bringing this knowledge to the stage, Karren will provide the audience with hints on how to become successful in a typically man’s world, with reference to the challenges she has faced and how she chose to overcome them in order to be taken seriously as a leading business figure.
Conference organiser, Geoff Shepherd comments: “Karren brings something completely new to the Conference and we are looking forward to hearing more about her experiences and the difficulties she has had to face as an entrepreneur, mother and, of course, advisor to Lord Sugar.”
Karren said: “It is great to come to Yorkshire and to share my experiences with an audience that is made up of some of the best business talents that the region has to offer. I hope that in sharing my story I will encourage others to think in the same way and to have the confidence in their own abilities to become a real success.”
Karren will take part in the Billion Pound Panel as well as a stand-alone seminar followed by questions from the audience and give her thoughts and feedback in relation to the most pressing and topical business issues that are facing the region.
The Buy Yorkshire Conference is a free to attend event, and those who would like to register should visit here. With more than 180 exhibitors, 7,500 delegates and a collective wealth of more than £600bn - with an economic impact of more than £10m as a direct result of the event - it is the Conference not to miss in 2014.
