Liverpool agency partners with Juice Academy to offer apprenticeship
Liverpool communications agency, Paver Smith, has pledged to take on an apprentice from the UK’s first industry-led social media apprenticeship programme – and the deadline for applications is fast approaching.
Apprenticeships are constantly rising in popularity and new research* has found that over a quarter of apprentices are earning more than their graduate counterparts.
Paver Smith has teamed up with The Juice Academy to identify young social media talent in the Liverpool area to join its team.
Applications for the social media apprentice role are being welcomed until Friday 24th January ahead of a ‘boot camp’ selection day at The Juice Academy in Manchester.
The lucky applicant will then be based at Paver Smith’s office in Liverpool while receiving training at the Academy.
Jane Woodhead, public relations director at Paver Smith, said: “We were so impressed by the calibre of apprentices at The Juice Academy, we simply had to have one. We focus a lot of attention on recruitment and providing the best possible working environment we can for our team, so this is a very exciting time for a newcomer to join us.
“This is an unrivalled opportunity for school leavers to use their social media skills – which come naturally to them – in the workplace, benefitting both us as a company and them as the apprentice.
“We know Liverpool is brimming with social media talent and we’re really looking forward to hearing from Facebook fanatics and tweetaholics who want a head start in their career.”
The Juice Academy opened its doors to its first cohort of apprentices in July 2013 and has since created nearly 30 jobs for young people in the North West.
The brainchild of Manchester’s Tangerine PR, the Academy was launched to increase youth employment and fill an industry-wide skills gap by training young professionals in the practical application of social media.
Paver Smith manages and enhances its clients’ reputations by helping them communicate to their audiences and markets.
The agency does this through PR and digital and traditional marketing techniques – as a result, Paver Smith’s clients sell more of the goods and services they provide.
