Manchester firm completes due diligence on £1m plus deals
A Manchester law firm management and due diligence consultancy has completed due diligence on deals totalling more than £1 million.
The deals mark Zebra LC’s tenth instruction in acquisitions completed by Yorkshire headquartered personal injury firm Neil Hudgell Solicitors during the course of the past 12 months.
The deals saw the personal injury law firm acquire the clinical negligence caseload of law firm Pictons and the transfer of law firm Gordons Solicitors LLP’s entire personal injury department.
Managing director of Zebra LC, Zoe Holland commented: “Every personal injury department is different, and a detailed understanding of the wide variety of injury cases, along with the risks inherent in this type of litigation, is fundamental when it comes to putting a value on a caseload for transfer. Deals of this nature require expert assistance to ensure funding levels are carefully calibrated and that all possible contingencies are taken into account.
“Neil Hudgell Solicitors is very active in the personal injury M&A market and we are extremely pleased that the firm has chosen again to rely upon Zebra LC’s specialist skills to support these two deals.
“Due to the ongoing transformation of the legal profession, and particularly in the field of personal injury, there is no doubt that we’ll see further transactions like this throughout the course of the next 6 – 12 months.”
Managing partner of Neil Hudgell Solicitors, Neil Hudgell added: “Once again we’ve been impressed with Zebra LC’s hands-on and professional approach, which has been vital in ensuring that both of these deals completed within the agreed timeframes.
“Neil Hudgell Solicitors’ strategy in 2014 is to build upon the growth achieved during the course of the previous twelve months, and we recognise the importance of strategic advisors such as Zebra LC, and the value they add to the business.”
