Manchester’s Juice Academy launches new corporate course
The Juice Academy - brainchild of Manchester-based Tangerine PR - has created a corporate course to help marketing and business professionals learn how to make their social media more commercially effective.
The Academy opened its doors to its first cohort of apprentices in July 2013 and has since created nearly 40 jobs for young people in the North West.
Now it is expanding its reach with the new corporate course.
To celebrate the launch, The Academy is to offer the first course – worth nearly £500 – free of charge to charities.
Tangerine’s head of digital, Anna Wilson – who is leading the programme – explained: “Many of the employers of our apprentices have asked us to create a course for the people who are line-managing these bright young things to enable them to better support each other.
“We also get a lot of enquiries from people who have been using social media for their business for a while but now want to make it work harder for their business.
“We also get a lot of requests for help from charities in the area and – while we support a number of charities as clients or with ad hoc advice – we felt this would be our opportunity to give ten top charities a real boost.”
The charity training day will cover: Principles of Social Media within a Business, Social Networking Management for a Business, Using Digital and Social Media in Marketing Campaigns and Introduction to Digital Crisis/Issues Management and the full course – choice of one or two days – includes the above, as well as: Using Collaborative Technologies to Deliver Social Media Campaigns, Content Creation for Social Media, Using Digital and Social Media in Marketing Campaigns and Social Media as a Facilitator of Customer Relationship Management for Business.
The price for a training day is £490 + VAT or £450 for Juice Academy employers.
Any charity wishing to apply for a place on the free-of-charge training day (at The Juice Academy HQ in Castlefield, Manchester, on 28 March) should email corporate@juiceacademy.co.uk detailing where they are with their social media, what type of support they’re looking for and why they should be selected for the course – on no more than one side of A4 – by 7 March 2014.
For more information on future corporate courses, email corporate@juiceacademy.co.uk or call 0161 817 6600.
