Ableworld franchisee reports increased turnover of 28%

Ableworld, the UK’s leading mobility retailer are proud to announce the great success of their Birkenhead franchise. The expanding franchise network saw healthy growth, but Andy Rees (owner of Ableworld Birkenhead) stole the show, seeing like for like turnover compared to last year increase by 28%!

However, this massive increase in business came as no surprise to Franchise Director Paul Boniface: “Andy and his team have done a fantastic job in promoting themselves, the franchise network and the Ableworld brand over the last 12 months.”

The past year has been an exciting time for Andy’s business, seeing store expansion, charity events and the installation of his new, innovative scooter surgery. In September the newly expanded store was officially opened by the then Minister for Disabled People, Esther McVey attracting a lot of publicity and furthering Andy’s ambition of making the store a “beacon of excellence for Mobility in the Wirral.”

The mobility retail sector is expanding rapidly, and the Ableworld franchise offering allows driven individuals like Andy to run their own ethical retail business and capitalise on changing demographic trends. With new opportunities and challenges each day, Andy is kept on his toes but is finding being his own boss very rewarding:
