Tendering seminar at Stockport Meet The Buyer event

A free tendering seminar will take place on March 13 during Stockport’s Meet the Buyer 2014 event.

Tendering for contracts and business can be a confusing and complex process. Stockport Council is committed to working with the local business community and is hosting the seminar for all local companies to equip businesses with tips and guidance on how they can become bid-ready and excel in tendering.

The “How to be the chosen supplier” seminar will give businesses practical insights about how to show their competitive advantage, write and present their case persuasively whilst ensuring all information is useful, professional, and customer centred.

The seminar will be delivered by internationally-acclaimed professional speaker Malcolm Gallagher who has extensive expertise in helping firms win contracts through his deep understanding of public procurement and supply chain bidding.

Taking place in Stockport Town Hall on Thursday March 13, 12noon-12.40pm, the seminar is free for all local companies. Places are limited and booking is essential. To book, email econdev@stockport.gov.uk or phone (0161) 474 3737.

In addition to the seminar, Meet the Buyer 2014 offers extensive business-to- business networking opportunities with over 200 companies already booked to attend the event during the day.

Whilst the booking deadline for appointments to meet purchasing teams has passed, local businesses are very welcome to attend at a time convenient with them on the day to take advantage of networking opportunities available and find out more about public sector business support on offer as they seek to grow and develop.
